Founded in the Bay Area in 2009, Furtherrr is a gathering of artists primarily working in painting and sculpture, and consists of works by Mario Martinez (AKA Mars-1), Oliver Vernon, David Choong Lee, Damon Soule, and NoMe Edonna.
Friends for more than a decade, these artists have worked on multiple projects together. From their first book in 2003, 4 Words, to 2005's, Convergence, and 2010's, Further, each artist has progressed individually, while expanding into new areas and ideas, collaboratively.
Through the use of their own unique visual language, each of these artists are creating an ever-expanding ripple in the world of contemporary art by pushing the boundries of where and how art is injected into our society. From solo and group exhibitions to large street murals and event collaborations, chronicling the works of these artists is the central focus of Furtherrr.
